Just Checking In

Just dropped by to water the plants, collect the post, etc. Things going well at The Fear of God, even if they're not doing so for the national rugby team. 1500 hits today alone, which I would be hard pressed to get here in a month.

Anyways, a couple of non-rugby things I saw recently:

Spoof anti-piracy ad from the wonderful mind of our own
Graham Linehan, from his TV comedy "The IT Crowd"

Via Fake Steve, a truly awful anti-Apple site. I love that legend "This site made WITHOUT a Macintosh or OS X." And boy does it show. Also, all the Google ads and banners are for Apple gear. Brilliant.

Speaking of Apple, Real Steve
had to eat humble pie in the wake of the decision to reduce the price of the iPhone by $200. Surely lower prices are good? Isn't that what Conor keeps saying?

OK, back to the rugby…

Excuses, Excuses

Slim pickin' round here recently, and for the duration of the Rugby World Cup, it could be getting even more meagre.

The new rugby blog is off to a flying start, with seven writers signed up. The hits are coming in too. Here's how the visitor graph looks as of yesterday:

Picture 3

Yesterday topped out at 852 visits (not counting the 200-300 I made, coming back every couple of minutes to see how many more there were.) That's roughly four times the highest number I ever got here. Hopefully, it will get even better once the tournament starts.

I'll try to keep some content going here at the same time, but can't promise much.

Come On, Limerick!

Recently, I was accused of having an anti-Limerick bias on this blog. (Me? A paid-up member of the Munster Rugby Supporters Club?)

Just to emphasise my innocence of the charge, let it be known that tomorrow, I will be cheering on Limerick in the All-Ireland hurling final. I doubt they will have what it takes to get past Kilkenny, but I sincerely hope they do.
